Idk. I don't get bumper stickers at all. I hate talking politics most of the time. So putting the two together makes absolutely no sense. Unless I had a big diesel bro truck, then I would get the biggest Hillary sticker I could find to put on it.

Reminds me of my former coworker who had anti-abortion bumper stickers in the middle of all four side windows on his Accord and his bumper and rear window. Perfectly professional guy, until religion came up. Literally came back from lunch to a yelling fest in the lunchroom.

The people who shout the most about religion and how great it is, I’ve found tend to be the least, shall we say, Christian.
No sympathy or empathy, just that ‘things didn’t go great for you because you didn’t let god into your life’.

I just don't get that. At all. Maybe I'm just approaching things from logic instead of emotion. Like with that issue as well as others: let me do my life and you do yours.

yeah definitely. drives me nuts. don't know if you experience it in that same way in the UK, but religion permeates deeply in the South of the US. And I'm fine with it really, as long as it stays confined to culture and not governance. I grew up in church, I still have faith but don't attend church. But I don't want to live in a country dominated by religious dogma.

I have a theory that the number of Political bumper stickers on your car, proportional to how obnoxious a person you are. Regardless of how much or how little I may agree with your stickers. I keep that in mind on the vary rare occasions I think about dirtying my car with sticker.
I will admit, once... way back on collage... I put a AAA member sticker on my car... made me feel dirty until I removed it... then all was well with the world again.

It’s a democracy, we just have lots of anti-democratic safeguards built in. If not, we’d have had quite a few Trumps as president already.

I have two Polish friends (brothers) and they are both quite religious as are their four sisters. One met an English lass who was exactly one week younger than me from the same city as me, yet she wasn’t anything like I’d grown up with in school. She was incredibly religious and would also be listening to music like ‘god hates sinners, sinners should love god’ while she was doing the ironing. It was very odd. The brothers nephew had what they kept saying was ‘angst’ in that every time he heard a loud noise, he would start crying (he was four years old). We all went on holiday to Poland and everytime something was said about trying to get the nephew to address the ‘angst’ or cause of it she would say, ‘they only thing that will cure him is praying to god and god will cure him’. I got so wound up one day and I just told her to f*** off and went to a pub and drink some Guinness in silence (it was great). The marriage last only a couple of months as even how religious the Polish family were they all thought she was nuts and she was the most unchristian person to others that I’ve ever had the misfortune to meet.
I’m not religious at all but each to their own. Leave my way of life alone and I’ll leave yours but can’t we agree that even if the ‘good book’ was real in what is written, it’s more a moral guide and not an exact way people should live their life. Some people spend so much of their time telling people they’ll burn in hell for not believing that they are not living a life themselves just telling people how they should live and not heeding their own advice.

I’m always trying to convince my fellow Christians that Trump is the exact kind of guy we would never have voted for until...well, now, apparently. Plus any serious Christian would vote Constitution Party, but I rarely meet anyone that's heard of America's "fifth party." I'm writing them in.

I saw a documentary last year on the U.S. Education system and how text books chosen in a few districts in Texas in a way led the way for the rest of the country and how and what text books are used around the country as the costs of books went up but the amount schools had to spend on them went down. There was lots of talk about teaching creationalism and heavily reducing the topic of evolution with the religious lobby having a loud voice in what happens in schools.
I watched it, constantly thinking ‘what the f**k’.

Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that happens more than we might like. Ironically, some school districts in Texas are some of the best in the country. When I lived in North Carolina they frequently recruited teachers from NC to TX offering much higher pay. But I cannot myself recall much discussion of creationism in any science class, despite being from a conservative state. We did spend time on evolution in a high school science class, but they had to preface the entire semester with a brief speech about “we’re not trying to challenge your beliefs, this is just part of the curriculum." It was interesting.

I think if it happened here there would be a lot of people, even religious parents screaming what the hell at the education board.
We were taught science with no provisos, and all forms of religion in equal amounts and debated about them.
We discussed creationism, humanism, etc... along with religion and to make up our own minds.
I recall all the way through school that nobody ever gave a thought about religion being in our lives other than ‘I hope I get lots of chocolates eggs at easter and presents at christmas’.
My parents thought I was going to be a priest or vicar or something when I was 12 as I had so many questions about religion and apparently nearly had a nervous break down at 13 with so many questions about the universe.
No offence to yourself and the majority of Americans but sometimes America scares the hell out of me and certainly the direction a lot of people are going.

You’re right, it’s pretty ambiguous. I took it as “Obama has assumed the position of a king by abusing power.”
The irony you pointed out is pretty amazing.
